End Labor Trafficking

SDGs Goal: 8.7 – Take immediate and effective measures to eradicate forced labor, end modern slavery and human trafficking, and secure the prohibition and elimination of the worst forms of child labor; 17 – Partnerships for the Goals

Hà Vy is an 18-year-old youth leader from Central Viet Nam and the founder of End Labor Trafficking, a project that raises awareness among young people about labor trafficking in her country.

Growing up in a rural area where communities quietly endure hardship, Hà Vy developed a strong sense of empathy, particularly for vulnerable youth. Witnessing real cases in her own surroundings and inspired by a 2023 documentary aired on VTVBẫy, she began extensive research on the issue. In July 2024, she officially launched End Labor Trafficking to educate young people and mobilize communities against labor exploitation.

What motivates Hà Vy to continue this work long-term is her firm belief that no one should have to trade their safety for survival due to a lack of awareness. She envisions a future where youth are empowered with the knowledge to protect themselves and others.

Through research, storytelling, and community engagement, Hà Vy and her team have built an online platform that spreads awareness and provides official resources on labor trafficking. While the project has made significant progress, she emphasizes that cross-sector collaboration and global partnerships are vital to realizing sustainable impact.
