SDGs Goals: 4. Quality Education, 5. Gender Equality
Aizirek is a youth leader and girls’ rights advocate from Kyrgyzstan, committed to building safer and more equitable futures for girls in underserved communities. She is the founder of the “Kyzdar Bilim” initiative and actively works with youth-led networks focused on gender equality and digital empowerment.
Her project, titled “For Girls: Empowering Rural Girls through Education and Protection”, targets the urgent challenges faced by girls in Kyrgyzstan’s rural areas — including early marriage, gender-based violence, and limited access to educational and psychological support.
Through the “Kyzdar Bilim” mobile application, the project offers offline-accessible PDF and video lessons on leadership, reproductive and mental health, and digital safety. The app features an AI-powered anonymous chatbot and an SOS button that connects users to emergency services, including police, ambulance, and psychological support.
The initiative also includes a “Leaders of Change” mentorship program, training 100 girls aged 14–18 in public speaking, rights education, teamwork, and community organizing. These peer mentors will lead 50 school-based workshops and campaigns, directly engaging over 5,000 rural girls and reaching an additional 20,000 community members through media and outreach.
To ensure sustainability, the project equips each peer mentor with an action toolkit and builds partnerships with local educators and caregivers to support ongoing engagement and awareness.
