2017 One Billion Rising: V-men Run

The Garden of Hope Foundation V-Men Charity Run: Let Love Shine and Get Violence Out of Our Lives was on November 25 at the Zhongzheng Riverside Park in New Taipei City. The date was also the International Day for the Eradication of Violence Against Women. Therefore, the run combined the 16 Days of Activism, led by UN Women, and One Billion Rising to symbolize Taiwan’s expansion to the global stage and how it is now in sync with the global anti-violence movement. In addition, people could implement gender justice through “glocalization.” Nearly 2,000 runners, along with volunteers and staff members, fearlessly took on wind and rain to show their steadfast commitment to combating violence.
