Worldwide Women’s Helplines Project: Where We Are

This event updated the Global Network of Women’s Shelters’ Worldwide Women’s Helplines Project with trusted helplines in every region of the world, and campaigned to create helplines in countries where there are none. Speakers from all over the world discussed challenges and breakthroughs in their contexts, and the importance of helplines in lockdown situations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Speakers gave updates on the progress of Lila.Help and coverage of helpline services, called for more women-oriented NGOs to join, and outlined steps to take to improve safety networks around the world.
