Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) will be continuously updated. Please check back regularly for new information
Q1: Is there a restriction on how many applicants can apply from one organization?
A: The girl should apply for this program by herself instead of the organization. Therefore, there is no limit to the number of applications from a single organization.
Q2: What is the role of a chaperone?
A: A chaperone plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, guidance, and success of participants throughout the entire program. As this initiative is designed for participants aged 15-19, each participant must be accompanied by a designated chaperone to meet legal requirements.
Chaperones also serve as the points of contact and provide essential guidance and support before, during, and after the program. They are responsible for accompanying participants to the Power Camp in Taiwan and assisting them in executing their try-out projects and local presentations. Additionally, chaperones act as AGC partners, helping the Garden of Hope Foundation (GOH) with promotion and recruitment efforts.
To ensure participants receive the best possible support, chaperones must be fluent in English. It is strongly recommended that they be professionals from organizations dedicated to empowering young girls or be affiliated with the participant’s school. This will help maximize the participant’s learning experience and contribute to the program’s overall success.
Q3: What is the maximum of the project budget?
A: We understand the importance of flexibility in your project planning, so we won’t set any restrictions on your budget or project timeline. Our goal is to support your vision without constraining your creativity. We encourage you to outline your budget requirements and your strategy for managing expenses. It’s essential for us to understand your financial plans and how you intend to allocate resources. However, please note that during the ‘try-out’ period, we will only provide a mini-grant for you to execute your project, which must be utilized upon the completion of try out project.
Q4: Who will be expected to attend online sessions (interview and workshop)?
A: Regarding the online sessions, only the candidates selected for the 1st Round will be required to attend the online interview on April 19th. Subsequent sessions (online workshops) will only be open to the finalized participants (2025 AGC Fellows) and their chaperones.
Q5: What should I do if I don’t have a passport and cannot afford the application fee?
A: If you do not yet have a passport, we recommend confirming whether the passport application process can be completed in time for the online interview on April 19th. As procedures and regulations may vary by country, please feel free to reach out to your chaperone if you need assistance. Additionally, as the passport is a required document for the applicant’s entry and exit from the country, it is considered a personal expense, we are unable to provide financial assistance for the application fee.
Q6: In March, 2025, I will be turning 20. I would like to inquire if I am still eligible to apply the program despite my age.
A: The program is specifically designed for young girls age from 15 to 19, as it aims to equip them with fundamental project planning and execution skills while fostering teamwork and collaboration. Due to this focus, we have set a clear age requirement to ensure participants gain the most from the experience. Please refer to the application information on our website: Applicants must be 15-19 years old upon submission.(A qualified candidate should be born between 2006 Jan. 1st to 2010 Dec. 31).

We are unable to subsidize transportation or other expenses from the applicant’s place(e.g. their residence) to the airport. Additionally, applicants under the age of 18 are required to travel on the same flight as their chaperone when flying to and from Taiwan.
Q.9 I would like to fill the Chaperone as my mother. However, I am confused about what the registered organization means.
A: If your parents wish to be chaperones, please ensure they have youth empowerment experience and meet the necessary requirements, as they will be expected to share their experiences with other fellows and chaperones. If applicable, please provide the name of the organization they are involved with or the company they work for.
Q. 10 Can the supporting organization use the same chaperone name for all applications, or do they need to provide different names for each?
A: The chaperone can be the same, as we evaluate applications individually. However, please ensure that the projects are not the same.
Wishing you all the best in your journey, and we would be grateful if you could share our project with other young girls who may be interested!
