Q1: Who is the applicant?
A: This program is designed for *individuals to apply, thus we expect the girl to submit her own application.
Q2: Is there a restriction on how many applicants can apply from one organization?
A: Following Q1, the girl should apply for this program by herself instead of the organization. Therefore, there is no limit to the number of applications from a single organization.
Q3: What is the role of a chaperone?
A: As this program is designed for participants aged 15-19, it is a requirement for these participants to be accompanied by a chaperone (adult) during the trip to Taiwan, therefore, the chaperone must be fluent in English. We strongly recommend that the chaperone be a professional from organizations focused on empowering young girls, or be affiliated with the participant’s school. This ensures optimal support for the participant to successfully complete the project.
Q4: What is the maximum of the project budget?
A: We understand the importance of flexibility in your project planning, so we won’t set any restrictions on your budget or project timeline. Our goal is to support your vision without constraining your creativity. We encourage you to outline your budget requirements and your strategy for managing expenses. It’s essential for us to understand your financial plans and how you intend to allocate resources. However, please note that during the ‘try-out’ period, we will only provide a mini-grant for you to execute your project, which must be utilized by the end of August. Only the selected projects ( decided in October) will be provided further funding.
Q5: Who will be expected to attend online sessions?
A: Regarding the online sessions, only the candidates selected for the 1st Round will be required to attend the session on April 10th. Subsequent sessions will only be open to the finalized candidates and their chaperones.
